Aeton Law Partners is searching for an exceptional candidate to fill a litigation position. This is a mid-level associate position. This position would be second chair support for the active trial practice of three partners and include additional first chair cases. Former big law experience and training is strongly preferred but not required. Connecticut admission in state and federal court is required.
Aeton has a very active and diverse litigation practice. Matters range from complex personal injury to first impression matters in commercial litigation. Our practice is active in state and federal court. Some examples of pending trial and litigation cases include: class action against defense contractor for anti-trust; false claims action in aerospace industry; class action in wage and hour; defense of private credit fund in complex dispute with placement agent; actions under Connecticut’s trade secret act, several shareholder derivate actions, and wrongful death claims.
Superior research, writing, and deposition skills are required. We are involved in complex matters against other large law firms. These firms frequently out number us with numerous associate attorneys assigned to their teams. We need this position to reliably complete depositions, brief the issues, and present arguments when necessary. This position is ideal for someone who has the desire and experience to get into complex high stakes cases. There are also plenty of opportunities to deal directly with clients and take new cases as a first chair.
We require every candidate to submit examples (links to active cases preferred) of litigation work in active cases with particular emphasis on filed briefs and transcripts of questioning if available.
