A little background on Aeton:
When we started the firm, the Connecticut Law Tribune recognized our innovative approach to the practice of law. Our managing partner was one of the first attorneys in Connecticut using digital files more than 15 years ago. He strongly believed in the smart use of technology as an integral tool in the efficient delivery of legal services. The idea was to cut the costly overhead associated with most law firms. This permitted the firm to increase the quality and efficiency of services while offering better pricing options for clients. Aeton’s original model created substantial flexibility to our employees and clients.
When the Covid 19 pandemic hit, Aeton’s years of working on the leading edge in legal technology paid off big time for our clients. There was no need for emergency meetings or drastic changes in our structure or systems. Aeton just kept moving after already building the modern law office. We were the first firm to do a remote trial in Connecticut when courts just started to reopen virtually. How did we do this? Simple. We had been using the technology for years. Aeton was so proficient we were asked by state officials to demonstrate solutions on our use of remote technology for depositions, exhibits and trials. A little about what we are looking for in our next hire
The law firm is in growth mode with opportunities for advancement. There will be no limits placed on your potential for advancement. Although not required, ideal candidate has background with working paperless with digital files and dual monitors. Candidate must not be afraid of technology and learning new things with multiple software applications. Must be committed to professional improvement, skill building, and excellent client service. Personal accountability is a must.
There is no requirement for experience with certain types of law practice, but any of the following are a plus: complex litigation experience, proof reading and e fling state and federal court pleadings; handling exhibits at remote depositions and trials, mid-level transaction work (commercial closings or M&A work), personal injury with client contact and medical records processing, and contingency work in employment and business disputes. Pay is commensurate with experience level for similar positions at top tier mid-sized firms. Candidates must fill out pre-interview questionnaire. Work samples from actual legal matters is required for attorney positions. The interview process is 1) questionnaire 2) phone/zoom for initial interview and 3) additional interviews by zoom or in person.
