Client Spotlight: SHARKMARX Accepted into CT Center for Advanced Technology
Suffield CT-based SHARKMARX has been accepted into the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CCAT). CCAT is a nonprofit corporation that serves as a unique economic development center of excellence for the region, state and nation.
"This is a great opportunity for SHARKMARX," said George Beiter, co-founder. "The State is pushing hard to bring technology companies to Connecticut, and the Center for Advanced Technology is a great benefit to emerging companies like ours."
"Navigating a start-up business can be difficult at times," said Dan Degan, co-founder. "CCAT offers a variety of services and expertise to help guide us through a variety of challenges that we face."
CCAT's mission is to provide services and resources to its clients to help them implement innovative solutions, increase efficiencies and improve workforce development, and through collaboration with industry, academia and government, seek to create new partnerships for addressing 21st century economic challenges.
Beiter hopes this partnership with CCAT will help accelerate SHARKMARX growth. "Since launching in January, SHARKMARX has reached a number of important milestones. Our goal over the next six months is to aggressively build our volume in the Northeast before expanding into new markets," noted Beiter, who expects to expand into the Southeast and Midwest in 2014.
